Our story

It all began after the summer of 2021.

Jacquelin joined the choir where Alex had already been singing for some time. At first, it was simply rehearsals and group gatherings with friends — shared laughter, music, and easy conversations. They spent more time together within the group, never quite realizing that something special was quietly unfolding.

Then came Paris at the end of 2021 — the city of love. Wandering through its streets with their friends, something shifted. In the most unexpected way, they began to look at each other differently. It wasn’t love just yet, but it was the beginning of something soft, exciting, and impossible to ignore.

When they returned home, they continued seeing each other often — first with friends, then more and more just the two of them. They started working out together, finding any excuse to spend time side by side. Somewhere between gym sessions, long talks, Alex picking Jacquelin up, and surprising her with food, the spark truly caught fire. One day, Alex asked the question that had been quietly lingering between them: What are we? Not long after, they went on their first official date — and from that moment, there was no turning back.

On November 23, 2023, they became engaged in church, placing their relationship in God’s hands. And on April 21, at a breathtaking location, Alex got down on one knee and asked Jacquelin to marry him with a beautiful ring and a promise for forever.

Now, their story continues where their roots are — in Egypt. On July 25, 2026, they will say “I do” surrounded by the love of family, faith, and the place that has shaped who they are. From a choir rehearsal to Paris, from friendship to forever — this is only the beginning of their greatest adventure yet. 🤍
